Yes, not to jinx it, but I am happily proceeding along with my backlog of sigil requests! This one is from March 2023, so I’m still over a year late, but the gap is getting smaller. (I’m trying my best to appreciate the little things in life.)
Today’s sigil is a little different than what I normally do, but I thought it was a really nice gesture and very symbolic. Normally, I emphasize that sigils should be a specific format (present tense, a specific goal in mind, etc.) and this breaks pretty much all the rules… Well, ya gotta know the rules to break the rules, right?
The requestor wanted a sigil that could be added to their signature, which included the words “Love and be loved and blessed be.” So my intent while creating this sigil was to spread love and blessings on anyone who comes across one of their posts online.
(And, just for note, since this sigil is intended to be used in a signature, I give anyone full permission to take the below sigil in its current form and modify it as they like – including removing the signature – or redraw it and repost it.)
Sigil Sunday #4: Love and be loved and blessed be.
The requestor was also kind enough to provide additional context, including that they were Irish-American and enjoyed all kinds of magickal creatures (dragons, fae, angels, etc.) so I kept that in mind as well.
Knowing that information, I decided to create this sigil using an image I found online that incorporated all of the requestor’s favorites. I used to have a tutorial for this posted, but unfortunately it was lost in the migration… Just one more thing on my to-redo list! I also incorporated a few loops where appropriate in the sigil to mimic a Celtic knot pattern, hopefully paying homage to their Irish background.
See you all next Sunday!
